Andersen Island Lodge has a new facility in the Cordova area, managed by a team who lived and fished this region for many generations.

We know our fishing!

Get a fishing experience of a lifetime without the crowds found elsewhere in Alaska. No crowds. No long boat or plane rides to get there.
It's all at your doorstep!
Go after Sockeye, Silvers and Pink Salmon, barn door Halibut, Rockfish, Yellow Eyes, Cod or Salmon Sharks.

This is the premier fishing spot in South Central Alaska!

Experience your Alaskan fishing excursion in the heart of Sheep Bay. Nestled by quiet protected waters at the end of Sheep Bay, weather and wind will normally not prevent you from venturing out to fish or explore.

The lodge is located 22 miles from Cordova, a quick 10 minute flight, or a 35 minute boat ride is all that it takes to get you there. En route to the island, you will usually spot sea lions, harbor seals, sea otters, porpoises, and the occasional killer whale and gray whale. Brown and black bears, mountain goats, and Sitka deer are frequently spotted on the shorelines and mountains. Waterfowl and shorebirds, bald eagles and terns are commonly seen.
